We just got back from a nice, week-long vacation in Cape San Blas, FL....yes, we had never heard of it either until about a month ago when Jeff's parents decided we all needed to hit the beach! Cape San Blas is located just on the other side of Port St. Joe. It is also not too far from St. George Island for those of you familiar with that place.
The last time we traveled to the beach with all of Jeff's family was seven years ago before we even had kids so it was a long, overdue trip (between us and my sister-in-law, we have added four more to the group since then!).
We were impressed with the house and the beach, both were absolutely beautiful! We couldn't have asked for better weather and we had a great time all week. This was Renee's second trip to the beach but I don't really count last summer since she was only 8 months old. Just like her big sister only two years before, she disliked the sand immediately. She freaked out when it got on her hands and feet and went from sitting on a towel to moving to a chair, to putting her shoes on to being D.O.N.E. Thankfully, though, Jeff took her out to the beach a second time in the evening and all of a sudden, she decided she liked it! We were very glad it didn't take all week for her to get over her weirdness about sand!
Thanks to Gaga and Papaw for the fun trip! We will definitely not wait another seven years to hit the beach again!
