Six years ago today, at 9:47a.m...

Our sweet, sweet boy was born! He came 9 days early and weighed 7 lbs 1 oz. He had the biggest cone-head we had ever seen, it was almost alien-like :) He stole our hearts that day and we have never been the same. Our sweet Zachy, we love him so much! I remember holding him in the hospital and thinking about what he would be like when he was five years old...and now he is six! I think time starts speeding up once you have kids, at least for me it seems.

Zach is such a great kid. He is loving and kind. He loves babies and animals and has such a tender-heart. His favorite thing in the world is "Puppy" who he has had since he was a baby...Puppy is starting to be a brown-tinged blue instead of his bright baby blue of six years ago, but that is just a sign of how well-loved he is. You should ask Zach about Puppy's adventures sometime, he could tell you some stories!

Zach loves Legos, math, cars, enchiladas, baseball, drawing, building things, milk, creating things, chicken alfredo, XBox, ice water and computer games (especially Mah Jong)...not necessarily in that order. He is "not a big fan" (his words) of corn, too much chocolate, gummies, gum (or anything chewy), balloons (the floating away kind), being messy or having sticky fingers. He has always been a laid-back, easy-going kid with few discipline problems which has been such a blessing for Jeff and I. You can't help but love this kid!

Zach has hoped and prayed for a baby brother for a very long time so it will be so special once little Thomas gets here, to see them together. What a special time that will be!
Happy 6th birthday to our precious angel, Zachary Thomas, we love you so incredibly much and you bless us each day!

Our precious gift!

"Summer, summer, summertime, time to sit back and unwind"

We have had a busy summer so far, with two different weeks of VBS, swim lessons, play dates and afternoons boating on Lake Allatoona. I am going out of town again this weekend (last month, I had a great 4 days away with my good friend Stephanie at a homeschool conference in NC) and then hopefully, it will be a more relaxed summer or this pregnant gal is going to start swelling like a balloon! I just need to put my feet up and lay on the couch! But we have had so much fun so far and the rest of July and August should be fun-filled (including a special double birthday party for Zach and Ava in August)! Then we will be starting Kindergarten in mid-August! Hard to believe it's time for that but we are very excited to be starting our first "official" homeschool year! Here are a few recent pics...

We love to dress up in this house! Watch out bad guys!
The kids first Laser Show at Stone Mountain. We ran into some friends there...yes Ellie, my kids are crazy! :)

Love my babies! Can't wait to add the last one for an even four!

Just chillin' watching videos!
