Daddy/Daughter Dance!

Last year, Ava attended her very first Daddy/Daughter Dance. This year, Renee was SO excited to be able to attend as well! The dance was held at North Metro Tech and the theme was "Masquerade Ball". Jeff and the girls, along with one of Jeff's friends from work and his daughter, plus two friends from church and their daughters, went together as a group. They first had a special dinner at Ippolitos where the girls enjoyed pizza. Then it was on to the dance where they were given a free masquerade mask and enjoyed dancing and special goodies to eat. Ava and Renee had such a blast spending time with their favorite guy! I know this will be an annual tradition they look forward to every year!

Thomas at 4 months old

Our little guy is getting big so fast! He is now 4 1/2 months old and up to some new tricks! He has rolled from belly to back several times, although for some reason he won't do it for Daddy. He loves to put things in his mouth, especially his hands, so he is constantly a wet mess :) Blowing raspberries is his newest skill and he does it most frequently while lying on his changing table (he LOVES to be on his changing table, for some reason, it makes him very happy!)
He is a smiley boy and adores seeing the faces of his bro and sisters and he enjoys watching their antics. When Daddy gets home from work, this boy greets him with huge smiles, it is really sweet.

Thomas is so far the biggest baby we've had, especially in length! At his 4 month appointment, he measured 27 inches long, which was off the charts! In comparison, both Zach and Ava didn't reach that length until they were 6 months old and Renee was 27 inches at 8 months! So, it will be interesting to see how tall this boy gets! He's already outgrowing 3-6 month clothing and on to 6-9 month. Thankfully, he is wearing Zach's hand-me-downs which are working out perfect for the season since he is so long.

We are loving our little guy and although we are sad that he is growing up so quickly, we are savoring every single moment! He is such a blessing!

January happenings

I feel like I am always playing catch up with my blog...here are some pics from January. I will have some more interesting posts after this one...February has been fun and exciting so far! :)

Blizzard of 2011

Zach about to give the snow "The People's Elbow" (WWE reference...no, he does NOT watch wrestling!)

"The People's Elbow"!

Random fun

Ava wanted to try roller skating so she scooted around the garage...with a little extra padding of course! :)

The kids in Zach's old baseball jerseys...they make good sleeping shirts (try not to look at the huge pile of laundry on the bed!)

Gymboree sure has the cutest clothes...and the most expensive (but I got these "ice cream" sweaters on clearance last year!)

Blessed x4

Ava looks like such a big girl here. Yes, only three weeks before, it was a blizzard and then we had spring-like weather! Ahh, Georgia!

Another reader in the family

Almost exactly a year ago, I posted about Zach learning to read...well, we can add another reader to the family! Ava is on lesson 80 and is doing just as well as Zach with her reading lessons. And, she just completed her first Bob book too! So far, our reading program has worked and I am hoping the younger half will enjoy it just as much as the two oldest have! Go Ava!!
