Jeff is training for his first 1/2 marathon

I just signed up a couple of weeks ago to run in the ING half marathon in Atlanta on March 3oth. This will be my first half... I went out with some friends from work Saturday morning and ran 13.5 miles on the silver comet. It was tough, but at least I know I can do it now. I ran it in 1:49... I'm shooting for 1:45 at the ING. Progress reports forthcoming...

Here are some pictures of Zach from January 2005. I can't believe my sweet chubby baby boy is now a skinny three and a half year old! Time flies by so fast, hold onto them as long as you can!

Today is the 35th anniversary of Roe v. Wade. I am praying for the hearts of this nation to be changed and that we will protect and honor the sanctity of life. All babies are precious, choose life.

Zach's first fight

Zach got some boxing gloves... and they are his new favorite toy. But Daddy got some too... and it's all fun and games until you get into your first real fight...

Renee can smile on command now...

You just have to use a cootchy cootchy voice and she falls for it every time... what a sucker!

Christmas 2007

We had a great Christmas this year. We were able to get together with family several different days and had lots of fun celebrating the birth of Jesus! Favorite presents this year:

Zach = Storm Trooper guy
Ava = Betty Bear
Jeff = Rock Band video game (what a nerd!)
Jen = Renee
Renee = Thankfully she doesn't need presents yet

December 1st, 2007 - Renee Carol Holton is born

We were at the mall to eat dinner and get the kids picture taken with Santa... and Jen was going into labor (and not telling her husband!) By the time she let the cat out of the bag about 30 people from the front of the line, her contractions were 5 minutes apart. Dad freaked out a little and wanted to scoot out of there, but Jen was determined to "get this over with". Meanwhile, the lady in front of us figured out what was going on, spread the news, and we were ushered to the front of the line... where we had to wait 5 very long minutes for them to fix the computer.

About 5 hours later, Renee popped out. It was a pretty quick/smooth delivery, and everyone is doing fine.
