After the character breakfast, we met up with the rest of the gang and immediately headed straight for the Tower of Terror (my favorite ride!!). Everyone but Gaga, Papaw, and our kids rode. It's neat how the doors open up to look out over the park before it drops you and then you have no idea how many free falls you are going to have since every ride is random. I believe we dropped 5 or 6 times! I think I could ride that one all day!
After that, Jeff and Zach headed for the Star Wars ride because that was the one thing Zach had anticipated even before the trip (he is obsessed with all things Star Wars!). While they were on the ride, we saw a Jedi Training show about to start so we saved a place for Zach and Jeff and waited for the show to begin. In this show, the Jedi Master chooses kids from the crowd to come up on stage and learn to fight with light sabers. At first, Zach said he would like to get picked and he waved and jumped up and down but then he said "I think maybe I don't want to", so he just sat and watched the show. He enjoyed watching the other kids learn how to use their light sabers but Zach got very excited when two Stormtroopers and Darth Vader appeared on stage! Darth Vader scanned the crowd and even pointed to Zach (we think because he had a Star Wars shirt on)...he got a kick out of that! Later, after the show, Zach decided maybe he would like to do it next time. He also said "I liked that (Star Wars) ride but I think it started to make me sick". :)
Next, we headed back towards the Tower of Terror to the Rock n Roller Coaster. This was a ride based on the music of Aerosmith and one of the craziest coasters I have ever been on! The start of that ride will leave you breathless, literally! It starts off so fast!
Then, we headed to the big Fantasia hat where Jeff bought Zach and Ava some Mickey Ears since they were starting to get a little grumpy (I guess it's no fun waiting for other people to ride rides!)
Next, we split up and us and the kids headed off to get pictures with Woody and Buzz Lightyear. We waited about 20 minutes in line and when we got up there, Ava's old fear of people in costumes came back and she wanted nothing to do with the two of them (her little sis agreed!). So, Zach had them all to himself and was a very happy boy!
The five of us headed back to the Star Wars ride after that so Zach could look in the gift shop. He picked out a green lightsaber (to go with his white, blue and red ones at home) and Ava picked out a purple lightsaber key chain that lit up.
After that, we headed to the Playhouse Disney Live show with Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Handy Manny, Little Einsteins and Tigger and Pooh. The kids loved this show because at certain times, things would fall from the sky like bubbles and leaves. They really enjoyed it and it was nice to sit down for a bit! :)
Finally, we decided the kids had had enough but Jeff wanted to take Zach on the Star Wars ride one more time, so, me and the girls looked around at the gift shops and Ava saw a JoJo doll and of course, Mommy couldn't resist getting it for her! After that, we met back up with Jeff and Zach and headed home.
That night, Jeff and I went to Downtown Disney by ourselves to reminisce about our honeymoon 10 years before. We headed to the Portabello Yacht Club for their delectable creme brulee that we had enjoyed back when we were newlyweds. It was still as delicious as ever! Then, we shopped a bit in the stores and bought some souvenirs. It was a fun day and exciting to know we had three more days of vacation!
